French Onion Soup

medium onions, thinly sliced

cups olive oil

garlic cloves, minced

tbsp beef bouillon cubes

tsp pepper

tbsp sherry

sliced Swiss cheese

French bread, cubed

Preparation

  1. Brown onions and garlic in olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Stir in 8 cups of water, bouillon, and pepper. Add sherry.

  3. Bring to boil, cover, reduce to low, simmer for 20 minutes.

  4. Cut bread into slices, put in pan with butter. Stir fry until crispy.

  5. Place swiss cheese on soup and cover with crispy bread slices.
