Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting are a staple fall treat. And, the warm cinnamon and pumpkin aromas fill your home with that unmistakable scent of the season.

Pumpkin Bar Ingredients

cups flour

tsp baking powder

tsp baking soda

tsp salt

tsp cinnamon

cups sugar

cups pumpkin

Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients

8

oz cream cheese

softened

½

cups butter or margarine

softened

1

tsp vanilla

4

cups powdered sugar

chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

  1. Pumpkin Bars: Mix the pumpkin bar ingredients together and pour into a 13″ x 18″ jellyroll pan. Bake at 350° F for 25 minutes or until done. Test with a toothpick. Cool.

  2. Cream Cheese Frosting: Mix cream cheese, butter and vanilla and then add powdered sugar. If too stiff, add a few drops of milk. Spread over bars. Sprinkle nuts on top.
