How to Measure Outdoor Furniture for Seat Cushions
Before you pick your perfect seat cushion, it’s important to measure your outdoor furniture to make sure the cushion will fit. First, measure the length of the front end of the seat to the back end, and then add one inch to the measurement. This is around the length that the seat cushion should be. Then, measure the center of the chair; if there are arms, measure between the arms. If the back of the chair curves, then you’ll want to add about an inch and a half to your measurement. This should be the width of the seat cushion. Finally, if there’s a back opening in your outdoor furniture, measure the height of that back opening to determine the thickness of the outdoor cushion. While a seat cushion can be a little longer or a little shorter than your final measurements, this gives you a good ballpark estimate!
